I need to know what to get to add a brake controller to my 2022 Kia Telluride SX. I already have a 4 flat connection on it. Please include a brake controller recommendation as well. Thanks.

The first thing you have to add is a 7-way connection. In order to add this you need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This kit comes with the wiring, adapter, and everything else you need to upgrade your current 4-way to a 7-way connection. Once this is done you will be able to add your brake controller.
I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR. The main unit of this proportional brake controller mounts out of site, with the control knob mounting in the dash. This means you won't have a brake controller taking up space in your vehicle. The control knob allows you to quickly and easily adjust the braking power, and also acts as a manual override. It also uses a colored LED light for simple diagnostics.
