Question:
I have a 2018 Kia Niro PHEV, and my neighbor has a 2020 Kia Niro EV. We are both looking for racks, and keep running into obstacles. Can you guys help?

Though I may have a few alternate solutions for you, there are currently no hitch options available for your 2018 Kia Niro PHEV. And that goes for the production years from 2017 up to the new 2022 PHEV models, unfortunately.
With that said, we do have roof rack options available and the Rhino Racks is highly recommended for your 2018 Niro. This will include the 49" wide # RRVA126B-2 Vortex Aero Crossbars and the # RRSX026 SRB Legs that will attach directly to the flush rails on your roof. This is a quick and easy install and will take little to no time to get it on you roof, but also makes taking it off easy as well, so you don't need to keep it on when not in use. When it is installed, it will allow you to use something like the Rhino-Rack Hybrid Roof Bike Rack # RRRBC050. This is one that I really like as you do not need to remove the front wheel when loading. It also locks to the crossbar of the roof rack so no one can walk away with it. It is a highly recommended option. I do need to mention that the 2020 Niro does have a different style roof rail, so the Rhino Rack option will not fit properly. For the 2020, I recommend going with the Thule # TH711220 crossbars, # TH710601 feet/towers, and # TH57JV fit kit.
If you prefer to stay away from a roof rack option, your best bet will be to go with the trunk mounted Yakima FullBack 3 Bike # Y02633 or # Y02634 for a 2 bike option. The Yakima FullBack includes an integrated cable lock that secures the bikes to rack and a steel-reinforced security cable that secures rack inside trunk. It also folds flat for easy storage when not in use and will fit both your 2018 and your neighbor's 2020.
