Question:
I purchased 6 new assemblies and brakes worked fine. After 2500-3000 miles, the brake controller cant stop them for DOT test even set to 100. Do I need to adjust these self adjusting brakes? Problem is, there's no opening in the back to adjust so will have to pull all 6 hub?

Since the brakes were working fine before, I would check the wiring to make sure the brakes are getting enough power. I do not recommend attempting to adjust your brakes, you do not want to over adjust them and cause further issues.
I would start by checking the 7-way connection on your tow vehicle using a circuit tester like the # PTW2993. If you find that you are getting power at the 7-way when the manual override is used you can rule out the tow vehicle and brake controller as the problem.
If you aren't getting the correct power reading at the 7-way you can check your ground connections and your wiring, you can also check your wires at the brake controller. Make sure you have good connections and there are no shorts in the wiring.
If it is on the trailer side you also want to check your ground connections and inspect the wiring for a short. You could also try moving the ground connection to another spot as long as it is secure on a clean, bare metal surface.
If that does not fix the problem feel free to reach out and I will help you troubleshoot further.
