Yes, the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 does work with your 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon. However, you will need to install a 7 way on your vehicle to complete installation. I recommend using # ETBC7L to accomplish this. This kit is a simple to install kit that connects to your existing 4 way connector, your battery, your auxiliary power, and a good ground.
If you do not have a 4 way trailer connector from the factory, I highly recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118467. This kit is super easy to install and simply plugs into your existing factory wiring; No cutting or splicing necessary!
