In order to use the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # DM8550034 on a 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 you'll need the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit part # DM39FR. If you have the factory prep package then you'll need the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter part # DM6333 instead.
The height of the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch is adjustable from 15-1/4" to 18". Therefore, fit under a tonneau cover would be vary depending on what setting you're using. You'll also need to add the height of the base rail to the above which is usually around 1" tall or 2" for the prep package adapter. You can then measure the distance from the bed floor to the lowest point on the cover while closed to determine compatibility.
