I see 3 concealed hitch options available for the 2022 Subaru Ascent, which one is recommended? Is one better than the others?

The Curt # C25VR, etrailer brand # e55ZR and Draw-Tite # 76253 are all essentially identical. All three have the same 5000 lb towing/750 lb tongue weight capacity, all are almost identical from a visual standpoint and all three would install in the same manner.

If you're installing a trailer wiring harness like # 118790, you might prefer the Draw-Tite # 76253, as it includes the stand-off mounted to the hitch crossbar for the # 18144 trailer wiring harness mounting bracket. For a ball mount, use # C45100 along with the # PC3 hitch pin. For a trailer ball, use # 19260 for a 1-7/8 and # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.

If you're not needing a trailer wiring harness, the US made Curt # C25VR or etrailer brand # e55ZR would be a great choice. The only difference between the two is the Curt uses a glossy powder coat finish, and the etrailer brand uses a matte finish some prefer.
