B&W Companion Latch Handle Locking and Tension Issue

Question:

when the hitch is forward in the drive position it locks with no issues. When I stretch the hitch out to the rear position it no longer locks and will move back and forth. What adjustment needs to be made to correct?

I would be happy to help you with your B&W Companion Slider item # BWRVK3400. On the slider there is an adjustment on the handle. It will either add tension or take away tension on the lever. This is located on the passenger side of the hitch on the carriage near the bed of your truck. What you will need to do is move the spring down into the bottom hole. This will add tension and if you move it to the top hole, it will take away tension.
