That you are looking at the B&W options for 5th wheel hitches is great; they are possibly the best manufacturer of hitches currently on the market. We can get you set up for proper hauling of a 5th wheel with your Rambox equipped 2500 series Ram however, the use of the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3400-5W that you have listed is not the way to go with a Sidewinder pinbox.
If you do not have the factory installed puck system in your 2018 Ram 2500, that is not an issue at all. Simply use the fixed type hitch of the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch,18,000 lbs. # BWRVK3255 and the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWRVK2602. Please note the linked product installation video of this set-up being installed in a 2018 Ram 2500. To use a Sidewinder Pin box that you mentioned, such as the # RP61422, will move the pivot point of your trailer back 22 inches. Doing so provides better turning clearance with your RamBox.
The RamBox system which greatly narrows the turning clearance is the challenge to address with your truck. The sidewinder pinbox is the way to go with a Rambox equipped truck but a slide type hitch can not be used with a rotating turret type pinbox such as the Sidewinder. That is why you need a fixed position hitch when using a rotating turret pinbox.
If you do not already have the Sidewinder in place, please let us know what pin box is currently installed and we will make a recommendation of which model Sidewinder to use.
