Best Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack for a 2022 Kia Telluride

Question:

I just bought a 2022 Kia Telluride. We often take our bikes down to the trails. I am wanting to get a bike rack to put on the back of my Telluride but do not have a hitch yet. Is there a good hitch for a bike rack for my Telluride? I saw you guys have some bike racks too, is there a good bike rack for 2 mountain bikes?

I have a great hitch and bike rack for your 2022 Kia Telluride. The hitch that I recommend is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13420 which is a confirmed fit for all models of the 2022 Kia Telluride. This hitch has a bolt-on, no drill installation, is made in the USA and will give you a 2" hitch receiver opening which is the most common size used for hitch mounted accessories such as bike racks, cargo carriers and ball mounts.

The bike rack that I recommend is the Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack # Y36FR. This bike rack will work with the hitch recommended above (as well as any other 2" hitch). This rack will be able to carry two bikes up to 66 lbs. a bike and has an integrated ramp so you don't have to lift your bikes onto the rack, the ramp stores behind the rack when not in use. The rack also has a cable lock to secure your bikes to the rack and you can add the Yakima HitchLock for Yakima Hitch Mounted Bike Racks # Y07235 to lock your bike rack into your hitch. If you wanted the cable lock and hitch lock to be keyed the same you can pick up the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores # Y07202, this will allow you to change out the lock cores using the included universal key, so that one key can operate both locks.

One other thing to consider is the size of your bikes tires, if your tires are wider than 3.25" you will want to pick up the Fat Tire Straps for Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack # Y23FR (this will work for tires up to 26x 4.5", 27.5" x 4.5" and 29 x 3.25").
