24 Inch Long Hitch Extender for Chevy Silverado 2-1/2 Inch Hitch

Question:

I need a 24 trailer hitch extension for our 2020 Chev 3500HD. Do you have a product that can be used with the factory class 5, 2 1/2 hitch? The use is for pulling a 6x12 cargo trailer when out camper is on the truck. Thanks.

The Reese # RP45292 you'd looked at is exactly what you'd need. You'll need to cut the bar down to the 24 inch length, and you'd then install it in your 2-1/2 inch hitch to provide a 2 inch receiver for your cargo trailer. Once installed, the extender would have a 6000 lb towing/600 lb tongue weight capacity or 8000 lbs towing/800 lbs tongue weight capacity if used with weight distribution.
