Question:
According to the trailer manufacturer the top of my hitch ball needs to be 16inch from the ground. The measurement from the inside top of the hitch mount on the vehicle is 11. If I use the Curt RockerBall Hitch Ball such as #C94CR what would the rise of the drawbar need to be?

Expert Reply:
So the Curt Rockerballs like the # C94CR sit about 1-1/2 inches taller than standard balls. And most rise/drop calculations are measured at the base of the ball and not the top so that changes the 16 inch height to be right around 14 inches for how our ball mounts are organized/measured. So then subtract the 1-1/2 inches of the Rockerball puts the height instead at 11-1/2 inches which is right at the 11 inches of your hitch opening. So that would mean you'd want a rise of right at 1/2 inch from your ball mount. So for that the part # C45010 would work perfectly as it has a rise of 3/4 inch. You will also need a pin and clip # C21500. My 4th grade math teacher would be proud!
