Question:
I have 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the towing package. Im buying an EVO T2160 with a hitch weight of 585# and gross weight of 7585. I need to replace my old hitch Drawtite with 550 bars and am looking at these two Curt hitches. The lighter C17051 I think should do the job but the rated gross is real close. I could bump up to the C17062, however I saw on your site the comment that a hitch thats to heavy can make for a bumpy ride. Would the C17062 be too much?

If you load your Forest River EVO T2160 all the way up to the 7585 lb GVWR, the tongue weight could be as much as 1100 lbs. I'd recommend determining exactly what your fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight is, including the weight of anything stowed in the bed of the truck behind the rear axle. This is the best way to choose the properly rated system, as using a system that's rated too highly will lead to a rough ride, while choosing a system that's rated too low can damage the spring bars.
I'll link an article that shows a few different ways to find the tongue weight, but the easiest way to do it would be to use a scale like the etrailer Tongue Weight scale # e99044.
If you find your as-towed tongue weight (including cargo in truck bed behind the rear axle) is under 800 lbs (which is doubtful) the Curt # C17051 would work fine for you. If it's above 800 lbs, the Curt # C17062 would be a better choice.
This being said, because travel trailers like your EVO T2160 are pretty susceptible to sway caused by crosswinds and passing traffic, I'd prefer to see you use a system with a more effective sway control component, like the Curt TruTrack.
If your as-towed tongue weight is less than 800 lbs, use the # C17499, or # C17500 in the more likely event that your tongue weight is between 800-1000 lbs. The TruTrack would do a much better job combatting trailer sway, and I believe you'd be much happier with its performance. The # C17500 includes the trailer ball, but the ball is sold separately with the # C17499. For a 2 inch ball, you'd need # A-90 or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch ball.
I've linked you to an install/setup video that you might find helpful.
