Question:
Will the 3062-P wiring harness, available for the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite controller, also work with the Tow-Pro Liberty? Ill be installing the controller in a 2019 Subaru Ascent. Also, if Ill never be towing a three axle trailer, nor be going off road or needing 24V, is there any reason to upgrade to the Elite? And lastly, have any of your Switch s for the Redarc knobs been confirmed to work with the 2019 Subaru Ascent switch covers?

Expert Reply:
In order to install either the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller part # RED24FR or Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller part # RED44FR on a 2019 Subaru Ascent you'll need the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3062-P and Redarc Tow-Pro Wiring Adapter for Tekonsha Brake Controller Harness part # 331-TPH-017. The main benefit of the Elite over the Liberty is the off-road capability so if you don't intend to tow off-road then you can just go with the Liberty to save some funds. There are no switch panel inserts for an Ascent at this time.
