This will work for your Ram 3500, but you will also need the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package # DM6099. Once you have installed this rail adapter, you will be able to use a 5th-wheel trailer hitch like the Demco Hijacker Autoslide that attaches to standard, above-bed rails.

The Replacement Side Plates for Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - Underbed Mount # DM6004 are replacement parts for a Demco Hijacker Autoslide underbed 5th-wheel trailer hitch. If you end up needing replacement side plates for an above bed mount the correct part number is # DM6003.

You will have to go with a sliding hitch to allow the trailer to make tight turns. For a trailer 8 feet wide the only bed length that's going to allow 90 degree turns without a slider is a stationary hitch. That being said you have two options.…
