Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident: 1,500-lb Front Suspension Support

A heavy front load can cause your suspension to sag and throw off steering and braking. These SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs add up to 1,500 lbs of front-end support at 50-percent compression to keep your ride level and controlled. The microcellular urethane design cushions bumps and shock while helping your factory suspension handle extra weight so your front tires stay planted and your steering feels steady.

Smooth Ride on Every Trip: Progressive Load Control

No two loads ride the same, and these springs automatically adjust to match. The progressive design compresses easily for lighter loads to keep the ride smooth and comfortable, then stiffens as weight increases—up to 80-percent compression—for added support when things get heavy. You get less bounce, sway, and harshness whether you’re rolling easy or fully loaded.

Stay Steady in Crosswinds and Turns: Independent Spring Action

When a crosswind hits or a turn tries to push you around, each spring works on its own to keep that side of the vehicle stable. This independent action helps cut down on body roll through corners and keeps off-center loads from throwing the vehicle off balance. The result is a more planted feel on the highway or when maneuvering into tight spots.

Built Tough for Real-World Conditions: Durable Microcellular Urethane

Made from microcellular urethane that resists abrasion, oil, road salt, and UV rays, these springs are built for long-term use in all seasons. They perform reliably in temperatures from -25°F to 200°F and compress vertically with minimal side expansion so they fit safely even in tight suspension areas. There’s no tubing or air pressure to maintain—just a maintenance-free setup that quietly does its job every mile.

DIY Friendly Setup: Simple, No-Drill Installation

Adding front suspension support shouldn’t require special tools or shop time. The custom-fit jounce-style springs mount easily with no drilling needed, using straightforward hardware that fits right into place. In just a short time, you’ll have your front suspension leveled out and ready for smoother handling under any load.

Sumo springs helped the ride.

by:

Made a big difference, would recommend this product. Much more stable ride. Was so satisfied with the front, did the back too and it really helped. Do both ends, you won't regret it.

by:

Easy installation and definitely helped with front sway to some degree. Excellent product and support from E-Trailer.

by:

Got my spring helpers and they really helped a lot. Just took 1/2 a day to install them. Just took a short test drive and everything was much quieter, with fewer rattles and no big bangs when hitting rough road. We are very pleased.

by:

Great product and the service from Etrailer was A++++++++
Extremely fast shipping and felt like I was the only customer being helped that day would highly
Recommend and will buy from again
Thanks

by:

Very happy with this products and what a great difference on my Holiday Rambler 2006 now i have to buy the rear one as well and the shipping was fast as well highly recommend this product and the dealer as well

by:

I bought these for my 35ft motor home that's 19 years old. They will replace the old ones. I will post later when I can get them installed. They look great.

by:

One year and 8,000 mi since I installed the Sumo's on the front of my 34 ft Coachmen class A motorhome with a W-22 chassis. Still one of the best suspension modifications I have done to my coach. Great improvement on bridge joints and small pot holes.

by:

I put these up front on my Class A RV and it reduced the harshness at the bottom of the suspension stroke. I can go a bit faster with confidence on rough roads or over bumps. E trailer earned my business.

by:

Bought these for my previous RV etrailer always ships promptly and they're great people to deal with give them a try you'll be happy you did

They were easy to install made the ride much more comfortable I think youre a great invention especially for such a low price

by:

Ordering is always simple at etrailer.com with a very helpful product fit guide. Received product in about a week which fit my plans well. I installed the Sumo front springs and just finished a 200 mile trip from Southern CA to Central CA over our well funded and maintained highways....NOT! We have made this trip more than 20 times and this time we really noticed a difference in ride quality. I can’t wait to get the rear springs next.

by:

on my Winnebago Adventurer 2005 that has the steer safe system on it since 2009 and new shocks in 2020 after adding the sumo springs up front this was the missing piece to great driving with this set up. no more jarring ride and rides like it has air bags. no leaning into curves and barely feel a truck passing.

by:

These were super easy to install. Not sure they are to thank for the improvement while driving, pretty sure that would be the rear Sumo Springs that I added at the same time. But they are most likely what improved controlling the rocking in and out of driveways.

by:

I installed a pair of these on my Newmar Kountry Star a year ago and I am really impressed with the improvement they made. After installation my motorhome is barely affected when I am passed by tractor trailers. Before the installation of the SumoSprings I was always fighting the wheel when I was being passed by large trucks.

by:

While is was a bit of a struggle to get to the bolt location, I am glad I installed these SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Front Axle. Overall, these help to make the RV ride quite a bit more stable and bounce less. The more stable ride allows to drive around corners a bit faster and with less sway.

by:

Adding the SumoSprings to the front of my W24 motorhome improved the ride over some of the worst roads I have seen in PA. and NY.

The Sumo Springs on my W-24 chassis have given me a much softer ride during the last 10,000 miles. When you are sitting right over the front axle in a motorhome, you feel every bump in the road. Sumo Springs help smooth out those bumps.

by:

Purchasing SUMOSPRINGS from etrailer.com made it easy,
Kennika C. ensured that the product was the right one for my RV. Installation was easy took me and my wife (my hands would not fit to reach the bolt) an hour to install, took the RV for a test ride and I notice the difference right away, limiting sway, and the harshness of road bumps. If your having issues with hard road bumps shaking your RV, why wait purchase SUMOSPRINGS.

@Victor Niiice! We're glad to hear that your SumoSprings are continuing to work well for you!

by:

Finished installing somo springs and rear antiswaybar couple of days ago. Products seem to be of excellent quality and installation was relatively easy. Have not been able to get out on the road due to Covid-19 but hopefully will be able to travel in a couple of weeks.

by:

Improved the ride

by:

My old jounce numbers were rotted, these new new sumo springs from emailer made the ride better. Not much roll and better steering on our 2006 Fleetwood Bounder. I recommend them.

by:

2007 Workhorse W22 chassis, easy install, slight KJ knuckle busting on drivers side, but patience works.

@Deborah Glad to hear it! Whenever you decide to throw some SumoSprings on the back of your 2004 Workhorse W-Series chassis you'll be looking for the Kit # SSR-280-54-1.

by:

Very easy installation. Would be nice if they were about 2” longer to get contact sooner but they were a good replacement for the hollow stock bump stops.

by:

I have a Workhorse W22 chassis. I installed steering dampeners and HD sway bar to reduce the "loose" steering. After installing the SumoSprings Front Spring helpers on the front end, 90% of the looseness on the front end disappeared. It is now a pleasure to drive. Very little sway from passing trucks and cross winds. I will be installing a set on the rear this year.

That is awesome to hear! It must be such a relief to not have to put so much energy into controlling the wheel while driving now.

  • Highest Rated SumoSprings For 2006 Workhorse w22
Hey Mike, I'll go ahead and list out the highest-rated front and rear SumoSprings for your 2006 Workhorse W22 chassis (which fit so long as it is 2-wheel drive): - Rear: SumoSprings Maxim Custom Helper Springs - 7,000 lbs # SSR-280-54-1 - Front: SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - 1,500 lbs # SSF-280-47 You made a smart choice going with SumoSprings because they do a superb job of stabilizing your rig if it starts to rock from heavy winds, or when taking a tight turn. So they'll...

  • Best SumoSpings For 2003 Fleetwood Southwind 32V On Workhorse W22 Chassis
Hey Rick, thanks for reaching out. The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSF-280-47 are indeed the correct fit for the 2003 Fleetwood Southwind 32V on the Workhorse W22 chassis. I cannot recommend using the leveling jacks to install them though. The leveling jacks are for stabilizing the RV and should not be used to lift the RV for stuff like maintenance or installation.

  • Recommendations For Reducing Sway And Body Roll In A 2004 Fleetwood Bounder 35E Workhorse W22
With your Fleetwood Bounder being a 2004, I was unable to find out if it did or did not come with factory sway bars. However, this does not mean they cannot be added if there are no factory ones, or upgraded if there are. With that said, let's get into it. As a side note, all of these are designed to fit the 35E Workhorse W22 and are American made. To start, we have the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1259-109. This has a 1-3/4" diameter and will be more robust than factory sway bars....

We don't have any repairs we can offer for flattened leaf springs, with the best thing we can offer being suspension enhancement (this won't replace your leaf springs, so you'll need to get those, but the suspension enhancement can help). I believe a 2003 Winnebago Adventurer is on a Workhorse W22 chassis though you'll need to verify that as there aren't records going back that far I can find, but if so you can use SumoSprings to help support your rig, allowing you to stay level and help...

  • SumoSprings For a 2005 Winnebago Voyage 35A on Workhorse W22 or W24 Chassis
It appears your 2005 Winnebago Voyage 35A sits on Workhorse W22 or W24 chassis. These chassis will use the Front # SSF-280-47 and Rear # SSR-280-54-1 SumoSprings. I really do not like Timbren # TWRW22 being used as these springs are very stiff compared to the SumoSprings. This causes more shock to transfer through the suspension rather than being absorbed by it.
