Question:
can you tell me what a receiver lock class v. is rated for ? lbs. ?

Expert Reply:
Hitch locks and pins do not have an official capacity because they are capable of weights way beyond what a hitch or vehicle can handle. In other words the hitch or vehicle would fail long before the pin or lock. I have included a link to all of the hitch locks that we carry.
Most Class V trailer hitches have a 2-1/2 inch receiver and would use a lock like # e98881. Curt does have some Class V rated hitches with 2 inch receivers like # C15318 that you have referenced. You could use a lock like # 7683 in that case.
