Question:

I cant seem to find what I am looking for anywhere. I have Audi OEM crossbars that have the t-channel / t-slot mounting system. I love this t-slot system because it makes for low profile mounting hardware. I am trying to put a mountain bike on the roof and I do not want the bike standing upright at highway speeds over long distances - thus I want a fork mount which feels safer and more aerodynamic. The bike has a thru-axle fork, not a quick release. I would also like to be able to lock the bike when it is on the roof. So - is there a locking fork mount bike rack that accepts thru-axles AND installs into a T-channel crossbar? Thanks in advance

There is an option for a bike rack that is a fork-mount rack, fits in T-slots, is compatible with a thru-axle, and also has locks for both the bike as well as the rack; the rack that will work for you is from Thule:

The TopRide comes out of the box with adapters that make it compatible with 12mm and 15mm thru-axles, and 12mm and 15mm Boost thru-axle bikes. For 20mm Boost thru-axles you will need an adapter, the Boost Thru-Axle Adapter # TH38BV.

This also comes with T-slot hardware to mount to your crossbar channels, as well as an integrated cable lock and the ability to lock the rack to your roof, and for both you'd need lock cores, the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders - Qty 2 # TH450200.
