Will the Blue Ox 2-Point Weight Distribution System BLU82XR Work for 700 lb Tongue Weight
Published 09/16/2021 >
Question:
Got a 2013 chevy tahoe LT, 5.7l with 4WD. Own a Coachmen RV apex ultra-lite 18bh, which has a gross weight of just under 3900lbs. Using that fancy math i found on your website here, that puts the optimal tongue weight between 345 and 540lbs. With the weight distro formula, i figure we carry at most an extra 200lbs behind the rear axle in the cargo space of the tahoe. Therefore, i need to be looking at a wd system that can handle 700lbs tongue weight. I see that a lot of these WD systems list multiple tonge weight ranges, ie 500-800, or 600-1000, 700-1200. So even though this wd hitch thingy says TW of 800, for my 700lb needs, thisll be fine, right?

Yes, when the Blue Ox 2-Point Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - 6-Hole Shank - 10K GTW, 800 TW # BLU82XR gives a range of 600-800 pounds of tongue weight, you will be good to go if you have 700 pounds of tongue weight.
Since your total tongue weight of your setup falls into the middle of the Blue Ox's range, this is an ideal system for you.
