What Does 4.00 In The Kenda 4.80/4.00-8 Tire and Wheel Combination Mean?

Question:
What does the /4.00 - 8 mean on the description of this tire. I would be replacing my Carlisle brand sport trail tires 4.80 - 8 Load range B on my PWC Loadrite trailer with the Kenda and I want to be sure the Kendas will work

The 4.00 in the Kenda 4.80/4.00-8 Bias Ply Trailer Tire and Wheel # AM30030 means that from the edge of the tire to the edge of the wheel measures 4" as you can see in the included diagram.
Based on the picture you provided your trailer has the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, so since the # AM30030 has that exact bolt pattern and the tire size is the exact same as your 4.80-8 this will work perfectly.
