Comparing Jif Marine Hand Winch 315-W2500D and Fulton Winch F142412
Question:
I notice that the Fulton winch has multiple layered gears as opposed th the Jiff winch which has 1 piece gears. Is one superior to the other for strength/durability?

Expert Reply:
Both the Jif-Marine 2-Speed Boat Trailer Winch # 315-W2500D and Fulton High-Performance 2-Speed Trailer Winch # F142412 share the exact same gear design as they are both very similar winches that both have two speeds.
Between the two I recommend the Jif Marine # 315-W2500D as it includes a strap and has been a more popular option with our customers with 140 reviews at a combined 4.7/5 star rating.
I included videos for both of the winches mentioned for you to take a look at.
