How to Access Fan Blades on a MaxxFan 7500 Deluxe Roof Vent

Trying to clean the inside lid of maxxair deluxe. How do you take the fan blades off to reach up and clean the inside?

The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed - Smoke # MA00-07500K has a removable bug screen that once you take it off you'll have access to the fan blades for cleaning. I've linked a photo of what the tabs you'll be looking for look like to allow you to remove the screen.

In order to completely remove the blades it requires removing the control plate assembly, which is screwed into the vent assembly. I've linked the instructions that have exploded views of these parts and can give you a better idea of how all of these pieces fit together.
