Troubleshooting Stuck Lock Cylinder of Yakima Skybox Cargo Box 16

Question:

I am having trouble opening my skybox 16, the handle won’t budge, any tips on how to break free the frozen handle? I have tried to spray penetrating oil in the lock in hope that it rotates but nothing…need help.

You've tried what we normally recommend by spraying a penetrating oil into the lock cylinder but what you can in addition to that try is to spray the oil into the lock and then work the key in an out several times as that sometimes can free up the tumblers of the lock. Sometimes a few rounds of this with several minutes between them can eventually get it to free up.
