Question:
I need to purchase a contraption that allows me to pull a popup tent trailer while also using a bike rack. I drive a 2009 Chevy Suburban. I already received information once on a unit that would carry three bikes while still pulling the tent trailer, but is there a bike rack that will carry five bikes? Thank you for your help.

The Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210 would be an excellent choice to be used in conjunction with towing your current pop up trailer and a hitch mounted bike rack that has a carrying capacity of 5 bikes.
The # D210 is compatible with and an existing 2 inch hitch and provides a 2 inch receiver for accessory use. This hitch has a tongue weight capacity of 750 pounds total, and a receiver capacity of 350 pounds. Therefore the combined weight of the bike rack and bikes cannot exceed 350 pounds. The combined weight of the rack, bikes, and tongue weight of the trailer cannot exceed 750 pounds.
Please note this item does not include a towing ball, but requires a 1 inch shank ball. If you do not already have a trailer ball that can be used with this hitch, please ensure that you purchase the appropriate size ball needed to tow your pop up trailer.
When using a hitch mounted bike rack and towing, you will need to ensure that the you do not exceed the towing capacity of your 2009 Suburban. This would include your trailer, bikes, bike rack, and hitch system.
A hitch mounted bike rack that I would suggest to be used with the # D210 is the Thule Apex 5 Bike Carrier # TH9026XT. This rack has a carrying capacity of 5 bikes and a weight capacity of 187.5 pounds. Additional features include anti-rattle device, quick release levers that allow the rack to fold in 2 places.
If you are carrying an alternative frame bike, such as a womans bike or childs bike, Thule provides an adapter bar # TH982XT. This adapter allows for level transport when using a bike rack.
If you choose to use either this rack please note that this will decrease your turning radius while towing you pop up camper.
I have included links to the parts listed above, installation instructions, and videos of the product installation.
