Does MORryde Ammo Can Carrier MR53MR Fit 2017 Jeep Wrangler JK 2 Door?

The eTrailer website says the MR53MR Ammo Can Carrier Kit for Jeep Wrangler fits both the 2-door JK and the 4-door JKU. Is the eTrailer MR53MR the same unit as the MORryde JP54-030. MORryde says their Ammo Can Carrier does not fit the JK 2-door. Im confused. And if it does not fit Im wondering if the problem can be a diy fix? Thanks,

The Ammo Can Carrier Kit for Jeep Wrangler 8-1/4" x 13-1/4" # MR53MR is the same as JP54-030. I confirmed with MORryde that this will only fit the 4 door JKU, not the 2 door JK models. MORryde was not able to confirm if it could be easily modified to fit a 2 door.
For your 2017 2 door JK you could instead go with a storage rack such as Rampage Folding Cargo Rack # RA86624. This installs into your trunk and provides an organized mounting area for your various items. This rack will fit both 2 door and 4 door models.
