Why Won't the Torflex Lift Kit - Tandem Axle - 3-1/8" Lift # K71-725-02 Fit 3" Brackets

Question:

I think my trailer may have the 3” tall brackets. The dimensions for the bolt holes seem to match what is in the description. I’m wondering why these all say won’t fit 3” tall brackets.

I spoke to my contact at Dexter Axle and he said the reason that the Torflex Lift Kit - Tandem Axle - 3-1/8" Lift
# K71-725-02 can not be used on 3" tall brackets is it would make your trailer too tall and it would cause the trailer to not operate properly. The lift kit is designed for low profile trailers and trailers that have 1" tall brackets.
