Replacement Option For Atwood Landing Gear
Updated 08/11/2021 | Published 08/10/2021 >
Question:
Purchased lc146060. Both the lead and follow replacement gear kits but did not realize the bottom gear bore hole is too small for the worm gear. Will the gears work if machine the gear hole to fit. Or any other replacement kits that will fit? Mine is an Atwood looking for ideas. Thank you

The replacement gears you mentioned are not likely to work if you machine the gear hole to fit; I can't say for certain as it's never been tested but it is highly unlikely. Atwood is out of business so there isn't another gear set that will work; the only option I know of is to replace your Atwood landing gear with a new set.
Landing gear is mostly universal, so for the right replacement you just need to measure the outside to outside distance of your landing gear brackets to ensure they are spaced 17-1/2 inches apart. If so, you can use the Lippert Manual Landing Gear Set with Handle - Weld On - 37" Lift - 6,000 lbs # LC333966.
