Question:

Does the Yakima part number Y05017 windshield fairing fit a 2013 Volvo XC70 with razed guard rails. The fairing is a birthday present for my son who lives 3 states away. If this part number does not fit could you recommend one

Fairings, such as the Yakima WindShield Fairing 40" # Y05017 that you were looking at, are designed to be used with crossbars running left to right across the vehicle's roof. If your 2013 Volvo XC70 has factory roof rack with crossbars then this 40" version may be cutting it close and could be too large for the crossbars. One way to check is by measuring the front crossbar to determine if it is at last 40" long; if so then it will work.

If the crossbar isn't quite 40" long, which I don't think the factory crossbar is, then I recommend going with the AirScreen XT 32" Long # TH62WV. This will have no problem fitting the 2013 Volvo XC70 regardless if it has the factory crossbars or aftermarket crossbars.
