Question:

I have a 2021 Nissan Rogue and wanted to put on a receiver hitch on it. Can you do that if you have a hands free lift gate option with foot activation or will it cause problems blocking it with the hitch

A trailer hitch receiver like the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e93ZR will partially block the rear lift gate sensor on your 2021 Nissan Rogue SL but it will still work by placing your foot on either side of the receiver. You will want to move your foot in and out until you find the sweet spot for the sensor.

I recommend going with the # e93ZR due to it having a nice matte black powder coat finish that will blend in nicely black trim on your vehicle, and the 525lb tongue weight rating and 3500lb trailer weight rating make it a great choice for carrying a bike rack, cargo carrier, or ball mount to tow a trailer. The # e98846 you were looking at is not confirmed to fit your Rogue.

If you are planning on towing a trailer with your Rogue you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # TK76FR, and a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip which can all be found in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
