Adjusting A Dometic Thermostat To Control An Advent Air Heat Strip

Question:

I recently purchased the Advent Air and electric heat strip to replace my dometic duo-therm 59136.531. My original units had heat pumps that had there own mode on the thermostat. Now that i have replaced the units. Th AC works great but there is no longer the heat pump mode on the thermostat. How do I get the thermostat to turn on my Advent air electric heat strips?

To get your Advent heat strip Item # ACMHD to work on your Dometic Duo thermostat you'll need to remove the cover and set the three dip switches to Up - Down - Down. Your old setup was for a heat pump instead of a heat strip so that's why your strip wasn't showing up on your thermostat.
