The Curt Trailer Hitch, # C11132, will fit all models of the 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser which would include your convertible. I have included a link to the instructions for you.
If you plan on doing some towing, the correct ball mount is # C45520 and you can use pin and clip # PC2. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring use # C55532. I have linked the instructions and a video showing a typical installation of the wiring.
