Looking for a rebuild kit for the DL2000. This says it will fit a DL2000A. Is it different?

The Dutton-Lainson DL2000 is indeed different as it is an earlier model of the DL2000A; I checked with Dutton-Lainson and they do not offer replacement parts for the older DL2000, and said that parts are not interchangeable between models.
So while I know that is not the news you were looking to hear, the best option is to replace your DL2000 with the updated DL2000A, which is the following part number:
- Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL14725
This is compatible with either the Hand Winch Strap # DL24249 or Hand Winch Cable # DL24045.
