Should I Use a Jack and Jack Stands When Installing a Hitch By Myself

Question:

2021 jeep renegade, i have tried to install this and failed once. when i went to lift this in place it looked/was to near. i will be trying in the am to install this with jack stands a jacks.

You're not "required" to use a jack and jack stands when installing the Curt # C13269 but when performing the installation without an additional set of hands it's never a bad idea to have something that you can use to hold the hitch roughly in place. It's also possible that your hitch might have been slightly bent during shipping so you may want to try to locate if there are any spots you can bend back into shape; this isn't an uncommon occurrence during the shipping process.
