Can a 48 inch wide plywood fit on the crossbar and still be secured between the hooks? Which anti rattle device that you recommend?

Expert Reply:
I confirmed with Erickson that the Erickson Big Bed Junior Load Extender # EM07605 has usable space (between hooks) of exactly 48" as you can see in the attached photo. Your plywood could possibly fit, but you may have trouble fitting it perfectly between the hooks if the plywood is not under 48". For peace of mind you could just go with Erickson Big Bed Load Extender # EM07600-07601 instead. This has a 52" load bar with hooks on the very end, so your 48" wide plywood would fit well.
For an anti-rattle device, I recommend going with Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # 63232 which will also keep the load extender locked to your trailer hitch receiver to deter theft. I attached a few demonstration videos for you.
