Question:
Hello: Would you please tell me the details of the Curt C11424 for a 2018 Hyundai Elantra? Looks like it would work for me but I cannot tell. I am looking to install and use the hitch to accommodate my Thule 4 bike rack which I use in my Class III hitch on my F150. Given that, would you also recommend an upsizing adaptor Class I to Class III to accommodate my bike rack? Thank you.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11424 you were looking at is for your 2018 Hyundai Elantra. It is a class I and has 200lb tongue weight/2000lb trailer weight rating.
It will require stabilizing straps # 18050 for non-trailered loads like a bike rack to keep from voiding the warranty.
Thia Class I hitch and may not work with the Thule 4 Bike rack you have currently if it is not one that is compatible with Class I/II receivers and 2" receivers. Class I receivers have a tab inside that require a bike rack that is designed to fit with this tab. The tab is used to keep accessories that would exceed the rating of the hitch from fitting.
I do not recommend using a hitch expander as it will reduce the capacity of the hitch by 50% which would be 100lbs tongue weight, and would not be enough to support the racks and bikes.
If you can tell me the exact model Thule rack you have I would be happy to verify if it will work or not.
Since it sounds like your rack has a dedicated 2" receiver you will more than likely need a new bike rack. I recommend the Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack w Anti-Sway - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches
Item # TH934XTR which will fit a Class I receiver. Even though this is a 4-Bike rack, you will only be able to carry TWO bikes weighing up to 35lbs each since you have the Class I hitch.
I included videos showing each of the products mentioned being installed on a Hyundai Elantra for you to take a look at.
