Troubleshooting Jack On Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Having Error Code But Bench Tests Fine
Updated 06/08/2021 | Published 06/04/2021 >
Question:
I have a 2018 coachman fifth wheel. When I got ready to leave I received a left rear Jack error code. The leg would not raise. So I manually retracted it. Using the motor didn’t appear to be working and there was no clearance for me to get a ratchet on the top of the leg, so I removed it from the fifth wheel and manually Retracted it. Does that effect Control board to counterrevolutions? When I bench test the motor it works fine, but when I put it on the unit, it appears to start but immediately goes into fault. Did I mess it up by removing it to retract it?

To get the error code for your left rear jack on your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 # LC358590 to clear, the jack will need to successfully retract.
With the jack reinstalled check that the connectors in the jack and into the controller for the jack are fully seated. Next check the wiring harness to the jack for any damage that could be causing the circuit to see too much resistance and throw the error code.
Be thorough in checking the harness, as based on the issue you described this is more than likely the issue.
If you do not find any issues let me know and we can go into more in-depth troubleshooting.
I included a video of the Lipper Ground Control 3.0 for you to take a look at.
