Solera Slide Out Topper Not Extending Past 6 Inches

Question:

I installed a slide topper about 8 months ago and it has been extending and retracting without any issues. Then last month it decided to only extend about 6inch , I retracted it and tried again but still only 6. the motor on the slide is working as it should. Can you help me with my issue? BCarter

I spoke with the manufacturer and they recommended removing the tension pins and trying to roll up and unroll the topper by hand. To do that you'll just need to uninstall the Solera topper you have, like # LCV000163285, and if releasing it fixes the tension issue you can reinstall it again. If for some reason it does not fix the issue you might just have a bad topper and should go through your warranty while you have it. I've attached the installation instructions to help with this process.
