Is there a longer shank available? I need a longer shank to be able to open my tailgate. I only need about 4inch longer

I recommend looking at the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 18" Long - 8" Rise, 4" Drop - 600 to 1,400 lbs TW # EQ90-02-4600. This is 18" long and has a max tongue weight of 1,400lbs, whereas the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 2-1/2" Hitch - 8" Rise, 4" Drop # EQ90-02-4800 that you were looking at is 12" long with max tongue weight of 1,600lbs. It does have the same amount of drop and rise as the other one. I attached a short demonstration video for you.
