30 Amp Circuit Protection for Powered A-Frame Jack

Question:

My Lippert power tongue jack on my Micro Minnie has a 30 amp inline fuse holder that i need to replace due to it having corrosion. What gauge wired inline fuse holder do i need to buy to be able to replace it? There are plenty of 30 amp fuse holders but the power cable to this jack seems to be either very thick gauge wire or it is heavily insulated and i want to be able to match up the gauge of the wire so that i dont have any issues. thanks,

Expert Reply:

10 gauge wire with a 30 amp circuit protection would work great. Instead of a fuse holder I would recommend a breaker like the part # 38630 with 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 which we sell by the foot would be your best option. This would give you the same circuit protection but it would automatically reset instead of requiring you to install new fuses.
