Is Dexter DX7.5 Trailer Brake Actuating Coupler DX27FR a Replacement for UFP A-70
Published 05/08/2021 >
Question:
Will this bolt on brake actuator model DX27FR work to replace my UFP MODEL A70 brake actuator? Single axle with drum brakes. This body matches my bolt pattern. Please see photos attached. Thank you.

Expert Reply:
The Dexter # DX27FR would make a good replacement for trailers weighing less than 7500 lbs. The coupler is compatible with a 2 inch trailer ball, so if your trailer meets those criteria, the # DX27FR would be an excellent choice. UFP is now owned by Dexter, so other than the design of the coupler latch, it's the same actuator.
