Does the exhaut heat affect what is on the Curt 18152 carrier on a 2014 Toyota Highlander?

The 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches Steel # C18152 will not cause any exhaust heat-related issue on your 2014 Toyota Highlander. This carrier has a 2-1/2" shank rise which will move the carrier above the factory exhaust location. The carrier also sits 11-3/4" from the rear bumper, giving it plenty of room to clear the exhaust heat. I attached a demonstration video which illustrates this furthermore.
