I may have a solution for you, but there is not a U-bolt available from Thule that is 3-1/2" wide by 3" deep. The closest option available is the Replacement U-Bolt for Thule Trail Large and Medium Cargo Baskets # 1500052553 that is 3-1/2" wide and 1-5/8" deep. Depending on the bar type, you could likely make this work; aero style bars would be the best fit since they'll have the lowest height in most cases.
If you wanted to do some light modification then you could technically use any size U-Bolt and just drill new mounting holes to fit. You'll want to seal off the old holes with some Loc-tite # LT37467, which will create a nice gasket/seal of the old holes.

Wrong, the Thule Evolution Ubolts are specifically made to be gripped by the clamps inside the cargo box.They must be the correct diameter and pitch.
