MaxxAir Roof Vent Fan Dome Will Not Open

I have maxxair roof vent in rv. When I turn on the dome cover will not open. Tried manual operation but would not work. Function was normal last year.

If the dome on your MaxxAir # MA00-04002K vent fan will not open with the manual knob then the MaxxAir # MA10-20281K-3CF "operator" is broken and should be replaced. This is a little gear box that actuates the lifter arms on the lid.
Your original question make it sound like your fan had an automatically opening lid, which the 4002 model does not. If you have a different model then let me know for an updated recomendation
