Question:

There are 2 other questions here on etrailer about appropriate hitches for this car, but the expert answers do not line up. Can you please confirm what hitch is best for a Korean-made 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT? Will both a Curt C11400 and Draw-tite 24905 work? Do you have to drill holes in the frame of the car to install either one? Thanks a bunch in advance, this has been really confusing to research!

For your 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT made in Korea with the 2nd digit of the VIN is the letter M, the correct trailer hitch receiver is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11400 as it is confirmed to fit the Korean models.

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24905 you mentioned will not fit the Korean models.

To install the # C11400 you will need to enlarge an existing hole to 7/16" with a drill, but that is the only modification required.
