One of the important measurements to make sure that the 23x47 Carpod Cargo Carrier w/ Sidewalls, Lid, and Bag - 2" Hitches - 450 lbs # M2200-01-02 is compatible with your 2017 Subaru Crosstrek is the measurement from the center of your hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the carrier. For the Carpod Cargo Carrier to fit with the bumper clearance, the bumper should measure less than 4 inches from the hitch center pinhole. With this carrier, you will not be able to access the rear hatch with the carrier secured on the hitch.

If you need a 2-inch hitch for the carrier, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13135.
