What Is Global Link Vise Lock 295-000024 Made Out Of?

The description says steel construction, but one of the videos say aluminum. So which is it? Also, why is the black latch locks twice the price as the white?

I reached out to my contact at Global Link and the Global Link Vise Lock for Cam-Action Door Latch - Keyed Alike Option - Black # 295-000024 you were looking at is made out of aluminum, not steel.

The reason the black version # 295-000024 is more expensive than the white # 295-000026 or silver # 295-000025 is due to the popularity of the black version. Since significantly less people or purchasing the other two colors, that makes their price go down.
