Question:
I cant find a wiring harness for my 2014 Chevy Silverado 3500HD. I purchased the REDARC Tow-Pro Elite trailer brake controller from etrailer.com and was hoping to make the installation easier with one of your wiring harnesses that plug right in to my truck. However I cant find any harness. Am i missing it or do they really not make one for my truck.

Actually, beginning with the 2007 Silverado New Body through the 2014 model year, Silverado/Sierra 3/4 and 1 ton pickups did not have a connector under the dash for installing a brake controller. It DOES however have bare-ended tow package wires that you can wire the pigtail included with your # RED44FR Redarc Tow-Pro Elite controller directly to.
The tow package harness is located under the dash, above where the driver's left leg would be between the top of the e-brake pedal and the steering column, as shown in the provided photo. The pigtail would wire to the tow package harness as follows:
• Red/Black striped tow package wire connects to Black brake controller pigtail wire
• White tow package wire connects to White pigtail wire
• Light Blue/White striped tow package wire connects to Red pigtail wire
• Dark Blue tow package wire connects to Blue pigtail wire
• Orange tow package wire isn't needed
I'll link you to a help article that explains this as well as to an install video. Also linked is a video featuring my buddy Dave who will run you through how the brake controller works.
