Do B&W Hitches Need to Use a Capture plate

Is a capture plate needed with the BWRVK3305?

Capture plates are designed to be used with auto slide hitches like the Demco Highjacker # DM8550034 or the PullRite Auto Slide hitches.

As the B&W Companion # BWRVK3305 is a fixed fifth wheel hitch, you do not need a capture plate. If you are using this in unison with a rotating pin box, a wedge will be needed, however. The one needed will depend on the pin box you have on the trailer.

Typically, the universal wedge that came with your rotating pin box will work with just about everything, we do have some that are specific to a few manufacturers. The Reese # SWW-06 would work with B&W hitches mated to the Reese Sidewinder # RP34FR. The MORryde # MR34ZR would work with B&W hitches mated to their Orbital Pin Box.
