Question:
My T2 Pro is a 1 1/4 in shank, but my new car has a 2in Class IV receiver. I want something that will retain the rigidity of the expandable shank of the T2 Pro. Does anything like this exist?

I have another option, but while I really wish Thule would offer the 2" shank for your Thule T2 Pro that currently has a 1-1/4" shank, it is not a part that is sold.
The only option to use your Thule T2 Pro in your 2" receiver would be to use the Hitch Reducer 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver # HT02 which will still be very strong and has been approved by Thule.
If you are worried about any movement in the bike rack I recommend Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches # RM-061 to secure the reducer to your hitch.
I included videos for both of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
