Replacing Star Lock Retaining Washer

Question:

The gas strut on my solera awning recently went out so I replaced it and in the process had to destroy the three star lock washers that hold the bolts in place for the awning arms. These replacement washers are exactly what I need however Im curious how you are supposed to install them on the bolts. Is there a specific tool you are supposed to use to press them onto the bolt? Ive tried purchasing other star lock internal tooth washers from local hardware stores and the washer metal is too strong to be pressed onto the bolt, even using a socket and clamp to try and press it down. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

For the Replacement Retaining Washers for Solera Pitch Arm Assembly - Qty 1 Item # LC431583 you can just use a socket and press them on by hand. Lippert has an install video, which I'll be sending to you, that you can see them easily doing it by hand
