Question:
The description says they are for a 6.5, any reason they wont work on an 8 footer? https://www.etrailer.com/Camper-Tie-Downs/TorkLift/TLF2004.html

We do have the HappiJac Truck-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs, # LC182860 that are a confirmed fit for the 2004 Ford F-150. However, the TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs - Front, # TLF2004, is a confirmed fit only for the 6-1/2' bed due to the location suspension. The custom fit tie down for the 8' bed of models from this generation of F-150's is longer produced. Exactly what modifications would need to be made, if even possible, was not identified. Suspension location relative to the mounting of camper tie-down is the concern.
